The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is a full-service law enforcement agency and the pre-trial custodial keeper of those who are charged with crimes. It is the mission of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Shelby County, Tennessee, to preserve the peace, to maintain a safe and secure jail and to prevent crime and disorder while constantly guarding personal liberties as prescribed by law. This must be done with honor and integrity, while conducting ourselves by the highest fiscal and ethical standards to maintain public confidence.
