Help for Viewing Policies

Our external policy sites use Adobe Acrobat PDF documents. Please make sure you download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader to your system from Adobe's Website. Acrobat Reader is FREE software for you to view Adobe Acrobat PDF files.

We also suggest that you temporarily disable any pop-up blocking software that you may have on your computer for viewing the policy web pages.

Some of our policy documents are large files, and may take some time to download to Acrobat Reader on a low bandwidth connection. Please be patient while your document loads into the page. You may also download a copy of the policy to your computer or print it via the Acrobat Reader menu.

Please be aware that although these policy documents are identical to the policies viewable on the Sheriff's Intranet, any policy links (highlighted in blue as this example: CALEA 1.1.1) do not function from within this online PDF version of our Sheriff's policies. Please use the Search feature as an alternate solution for locating the policy or information you need.
