Meth Lab Discovered in Frayser Neighborhood – Four People Charged

Four people are in custody this morning after officers raided a house in Frayser being used to manufacture methamphetamine. They were arrested last night just after 10 o’clock.
A man and a woman were taken into custody outside the house in the carport. The other two men were arrested nearby in separate vehicles.
Officers with the Metro Gang Unit, Shelby County SWAT Team, Shelby County Narcotics Unit, Federal Drug Enforcement Agency, Shelby County Fire Department and Memphis Fire Department spent several hours at the house to ensure no one was hurt by the dangerous chemicals being stored there.
A tip to the Metro Gang Unit alerted deputies that the house was being used as a lab for methamphetamine. Besides the dangerous chemicals, investigators found syringes and other equipment used in manufacturing the illegal drugs.
Those arrested:
- Cecil Terry, 48
- Ronald Kimble, 43
- Billy Curry, 38
- Lorraine Smith, 40
The four people have been charged with state crimes:
- Criminal Attempted Felony to Wit the Manufacture of Methamphetamine
- Possession of Ephedrine (A chemical used in the production of methamphetamine)
- Possession of Anhydrous Ammonia (A chemical used in the production of methamphetamine)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

The house at 735 Par is located near the scene of a drive-by shooting earlier this week that critically injured a young girl. Investigators say this case IS NOT related to that shooting.
