Three people were hurt in a four-vehicle traffic crash on Shelby Drive near Harvest Knoll just after 7 o’clock this morning.

Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Deputies say a 2002 P.T. Cruiser driven by Anthony Wallace, 37, of Olive Branch, Mississippi, was going east on Shelby Drive when it hit a 2005 Isuzu head-on going west on Shelby Drive near the intersection of Shelby Drive at Harvest Knoll.  Wallace was taken to the Regional Medical Center by ambulance.  He remains in stable condition at the hospital.

The impact knocked the Isuzu into the path of another car, a 1998 Honda Accord.  The driver of the Honda, Elizabeth Waller, 45, of Collierville, was airlifted to the Regional Medical Center where she’s in stable condition this afternoon.

Seconds later, a 2002 Toyota Sequoia going west on Shelby Drive driven by Stacy Travis, 27, of Rossville, Tennessee, swerved attempting to miss the other three vehicles.

However, the Sequoia hit the other vehicles and rolled over twice.  Ms. Travis was only slightly injured and did not have to go to the hospital.

Sheriff’s Deputies issued a citation to Anthony Wallace for Failure to Maintain Control of a Vehicle.
