“American Idol” Star Faces Extradition Hearing Next Week

“American Idol” star Terrell Brittenum’s extradition hearing regarding criminal charges in Georgia has been continued until next Monday, January 23, 2006. The hearing will be held in Criminal Court Division 3, at 9 a.m.
The hearing was originally set for today. However, Mr. Brittenum’s attorney asked for the case to be reset for next week.
Terrell Brittenum was arrested on January 10, 2006, by Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies in the Fugitive Division in connection with a forgery case in Rockdale County, Georgia.
According to the arrest warrant, Terrell and his twin brother Derrell, allegedly gave false information on June 3, 2005, to purchase a car in Rockdale County, Georgia.
The twins appeared this week (January 17) on a taped program of “American Idol” which aired on the Fox Television Network.

Meanwhile, Shelby County Deputies continue their search for Derrell Brittenum, who lives with his brother in South-East Shelby County.
The twins face charges of Forgery in the First Degree and Theft by Deception/Financial Identity Fraud in Georgia.
