Shelby County Deputies To Conduct Enforcement Effort This Weekend

Investigators with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office say there has been a recent rise in auto thefts and thefts from vehicles in parts of East Shelby County.

Acting on that information and citizen complaints about crime and speeding motorists in the area, officers will be conducting a crime suppression effort on Saturday, April 3, 2004, from 5:00 p.m. through 1:00 a.m. Sunday.

The Reserve Division will be assisting Patrol, Traffic and D.U.I. officers. The enforcement area will be:

  • North-Brightwood Road
  • South-Mullins Station Road
  • East-Appling/Dexter Roads
  • West-Whitten Road

Shelby County Sheriff’s deputies will be taking a “zero tolerance” stance regarding criminal activity, traffic violations, and impaired driving.
