Burned Body Identified

Shelby County Sheriff's Office detectives say today they know the identity of a man found murdered in northwest Shelby County on November 17. The man is 29-year-old Jimmy L. Webb of Memphis.
Sheriff's Office detectives say hunters found Webb's body along a gravel road off of Watkins Street, about 100 yards south of the Loosahatchie River Bridge. The vacant area is near the Northaven community.
Investigators say the Shelby County Medical Examiner's indicated Webb died of multiple stab wounds. His body was then set on fire and dumped in the vacant area. Deputies say the investigation about what led to Webb's death is continuing.
