About 8:20 this morning, Shelby County School Bus # 218 was involved in a traffic crash with a 2003 Chevy Trail Blazer in East Shelby County.

Twenty-five children were on board and on the way to Mt. Pisgah Middle School.

The bus was going east on Raspberry. The bus was attempting to turn left onto Elderberry at a 4-Way Stop when the SUV attempted to pass the bus in the left lane.

The SUV hit the left front bumper of the bus. There was minor damage to both vehicles. The driver of the SUV was cited for improperly passing the school bus. No one was hurt.
