Shelby County Sheriff Mark H. Luttrell, Jr. says the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office will again be sponsoring a charity golf tournament to benefit the students at Klondike Elementary School.

“For the past several years, the Sheriff’s Office has supported Klondike Elementary as our ‘Adopt-A-School.’ Last year we raised $5,000 for student programs through our golf tournament. We’re hoping many people in the community will join us at this year’s tournament,” said Sheriff Luttrell.

The tournament will be held on Friday, October 26, 2007, at Quail Ridge Golf Club at 4055 Altruria Road in Bartlett. The foursome amateur scramble begins at 1 p.m. with a $100.00 player fee or $400.00 per team. Lunch will be served at noon. An awards ceremony will follow the tournament.

Various staff members of Klondike Elementary School and other leaders in the community are expected to play in the event.
