Baby Girl Missing From North Shelby County Home
Release Date: January 2, 2005
Sheriff's Deputies are looking for a nine-month-old baby girl who family members say disappeared from her home sometime early this morning.
The mother of Branson Alyssa Whitt called 9-1-1 just before eight o'clock this morning saying her baby was missing from the home in the 4300 block of Hunters Glen East in North Shelby County near Raleigh.
The child's mother, Renee Hesse, 30, told investigators she saw little Branson last night just before she went to bed. Hesse says she was awakened this morning by another child, her three-year-old boy, who wanted her to come to his room. It was then she discovered the little girl missing from the room she shared with her brother.
Detectives are looking for the child's father to see if she might be with him. Ms. Hesse told investigators she and her husband are separated and that he lives in the Northaven area in North Shelby County.
Investigators are looking for Brandon Christopher Whitt. He is a white male, 30 years old, with brown eyes, black hair and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He drives a red, 1983 Toyota truck with a Shelby County Tennessee plate: L T B - 3 4 3.
Since the child is an infant and that deputies are not sure who took her, other law enforcement agencies have been contacted in hopes to verify the little girl is safe.
Little Branson Alyssa Whitt is nine months old, has black hair, and was last wearing a yellow T-shirt, white socks and a diaper.
Anyone with information about the little girl or her father should call the Shelby County Sheriff's Office at (901) 379-7625.
