U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force Arrests Alleged Child Rapist, Willie Parker

On November 19, 2007, Willie Parker was arrested in Batesville, MS by members of the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF). Parker was wanted by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department for 2 Counts of the Rape of a Child. It is alleged that Parker raped two young relatives while living in Memphis, TN.
Members of the U.S. Marshals Mid-South Fugitive Task Force (MSFTF) consisting of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies and Memphis Police Officers, developed information that Parker fled to the Batesville, MS area. The MSFTF relayed this information to the GCRFTF. The GCRFTF investigated fugitive Parker, and located a residence and vehicle for Parker. The GCRFTF conducted surveillance at the residence and when Parker was observed leaving the residence he was arrested without incident. Parker was transported to the Panola County Jail where he awaits extradition to Shelby County.
