Community Sign-Ups This Weekend For Reserve Deputy and Volunteer Positions With The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Reserve Division will have representatives at Wolf Chase Mall this Saturday, April 3, and Sunday, April 4, to encourage citizens to be a volunteer with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office. Wolf Chase Mall is located at the intersection of Germantown Road and Highway 64.

Equipment used by the Sheriff’s Office will be on display near the registration tables which will be set up not far from the Sears store. Sign-ups on Saturday will be from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. On Sunday, officers will be at the mall from Noon until 6:00 p.m.

“This will be an excellent opportunity for us to sign-on new volunteers for reserve deputies, emergency services volunteers, senior citizen visitors and other volunteer positions with the Sheriff’s Office. It’s our goal in 2004 to double our reserves through this and other community events,” said Shelby County Sheriff Mark H. Luttrell, Jr.
