Shelby County Sheriff’s Detectives have a computer composite image of a person of interest who might be possibly involved in this past weekend’s home invasion in Cordova.
Victims of the home invasion on Broadstone Lane met with Sheriff’s Detectives today. The Detectives then worked jointly with Memphis Police Department technicians which generated the computer composite of the person of interest.
The image is of a black man with a mustache in his twenties or thirties. The victims did not get a good look at the other two men involved in the home invasion. One wore a mask similar to one worn in the “Friday the 13th” horror movie.
About 2:30 this past Sunday morning, the three suspects kicked open a back door of the house on Broadstone Lane. A couple and six children were inside.
A man was pistol whipped and tied up with duct tape and an appliance cord. A woman at the house was sexually assaulted. The children were not hurt.
Victims said one of the intruders was armed with a pistol and a laser light. Investigators say the suspects hit the man in the back of the head several times as they made demands for money.
The suspects left the home with an undetermined amount of money and a rifle.
Deputies say all of the suspects were black men in their twenties or thirties.
One of the suspects wore a brown jacket with a hood.
Another suspect wore a dark colored jacket with possibly a hood. There was no description available for the third man.
Anyone with information about the home invasion in Cordova is asked to call the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office at (901) 379-7625 or Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH (2274).
