Victim Identified in Cordova Area Murder - Arrest Made

Detectives with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Homicide and Street Crime Units have arrested a man they believe was involved in this past weekend’s murder in Cordova.
Terrance Rose, 18, who lives in the 1100 block of Sanbyrn Drive in Cordova, has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder in connection with the death of Christopher Smith, 23, of East Shelby County.
Christopher Smith’s body was found yesterday morning about 7:30 by a man walking his dog on a walking track in the 9800 block of Woodland Hills Drive in Cordova.
Within hours after Smith’s body was discovered, Deputies had connected Rose to the murder. He was arrested and charged late last night.
Rose said he had met Smith at the walking track this past Saturday night to buy drugs.
Terance Rose is being held in the Shelby County Jail.
