Charles WilliamsShelby County Sheriff's Deputies have arrested a 2nd suspect in connection with this past weekend's murder in the Woodland Hills subdivision in East Shelby County.

Sheriff's detectives took Charles Williams, 19, of Memphis, into custody about 4 p.m. yesterday evening.

Investigators say Williams and Terrance Rose, 18, of East Shelby County, were with Christopher Smith at the time Smith was shot to death late Saturday night.

Deputies in the Sheriff's Homicide and Street Crimes Units said Williams and Rose had gone to a walking track in the 9800 block of Woodland Hills Drive to buy drugs from Christopher Smith.  Detectives believe Williams shot Smith after the drug deal.
