A Cordova teenager was killed in a one-vehicle traffic crash late last night in East Shelby County.
Shelby County Sheriff's Office Traffic Investigators say Morgan Edmiston, 17, was traveling east on Macon Road and lost control of a 1997 Ford Ranger pick up truck near Appling Road.
Deputies say Edmiston's truck rounded a curve and flipped over.
Investigators say Edmiston, who was alone in the vehicle, was not wearing a seat belt.
There was no indication of alcohol.
This is the ninth person to die in traffic crashes investigated this year by Shelby County Sheriff's Deputies.
Five of those nine victims have been teenagers.
All of the teenagers died in one-vehicle traffic crashes.
