Sheriff’s Office Hosting Events for “Corrections Employees’ Week”

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office will be holding several events next week to celebrate the efforts of employees who serve at correctional facilities.

Staff at the Men’s Unit at 201 Poplar and the Women’s Unit at Jail East, will join with employees of the Federal Correctional Institution, the State of Tennessee Correctional Center and the Shelby County Corrections Center at events starting this Sunday, May 1st, and concluding next Saturday, May 7th.

Here is the schedule of events:

• Sunday, May 1, 5:00 p.m.-Choir Concert-Greater St. Thomas Missionary Baptist Church, 4655 Apple Cove, Memphis, Tennessee, at 5:00 p.m.

• Wednesday, May 4, 1:00 p.m.-Memorial Service-Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church, 70 North Bellevue in the chapel

• Friday, May 6, 6:00 p.m.-Recognition Banquet-Memphis Convention Center-Cannon Center, Showboat Room

• Saturday, May 7, 11:00 a.m.-Picnic-Federal Correctional Institution, 1101 John A Denie Road, Bartlett, TN 38134
