Sheriff’s Office Civil Process Servers and Levy Squad Move To New Location

The Civil/Levy Division of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is moving from the Sheriff’s Substation in Arlington this week to the Shelby County Office complex in East Memphis near the Shelby County Corrections Center.

Shelby County Government renovated the old Shelby County Nursing Home several years ago. Since then, various county departments including some from the Sheriff’s Office have located their staffs there.

The new location, which is geographically near the center of Shelby County, will help the Sheriff’s Office reduce mileage expense costs. It will be a shorter drive for most of the personnel who serve court papers and assist with property “set-outs” of furniture and other belongings when renters are removed by a court order.

The supervisory and support staffs are moving along with the other employees to the new offices at 1075 Mullins Station Road, Building C. In all, 35 people will be relocated.

The new phone number for the Civil/Levy Division at the Sheriff’s Office is (901) 379-7400. For the time being, the old telephone number of (901) 867-1480 will roll-over to the new telephone number.
