Crime Saturation and Traffic Enforcement Effort in South and East Shelby County Neighborhoods

SaturationThe Shelby County Sheriff’s will once again be combining resources to address crime in a community-wide event involving Memphis Police Department, Germantown Police Department and the Collierville Police Department.

Part one of the saturation will target fugitives and various gang related crimes in the “Jackson Pit” area of South Shelby County bounded by:

  • North-Raines
  • South-State Line Road
  • West-Airways
  • East-Getwell

At two other locations, traffic violation enforcement saturations will be held.

Location #1: Shelby Drive/Tchulahoma by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and the Memphis Police Department.

Location #2: Houston Levee/Poplar involving the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, Collierville Police Department and the Germantown Police Department.

Media representatives may talk to law enforcement representatives at the Command Post for the event, which will be at the TN Drivers’ License Agency on Shelby Drive, just West of Tchulahoma at 8 p.m.

 

PLEASE NOTE

Live trucks and camera crews will have a designated place at the Command Post for interviews and information. Crews are asked to stay within this specific area.
