Sheriff’s Street Crimes Deputies Arrest Alleged Drug Dealer

Detectives with the Shelby Country Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit arrested a Memphis man this afternoon allegedly connected to an organized drug ring in the Memphis and Shelby County area.
Street Crimes Deputies arrested Tyrone Taylor, 24, about 3:45 this afternoon at a house in the 1100 block of Biltmore Road in the Binghampton area. Taylor has affiliations with the “Rollin’ 20 Crips” gang.
Deputies had been looking for Taylor since February 2, 2007, following a drug raid at his home in the 4100 block of Ward Street in the National Cemetery area.
Acting on a tip, Deputies found lots of drugs at the home including:
- 93.3 g of powdered cocaine
- 22.6 g of crack cocaine
- 28.8 g of marijuana
The drugs are valued at $3,000. Taylor has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana.
