Deputies Confiscate Drugs-Search for Alleged Dealer

Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit are searching for a 24 year-old Memphis man who Deputies believe is connected to an organized illegal drug ring in the Memphis and Shelby County area.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Tyrone Taylor, who has affiliations with the “Rollin’ 20 Crips” gang. This past Friday afternoon, Street Crimes Unit Deputies raided a home where Taylor resides at 4100 Ward which is in the National Cemetery area on Jackson Avenue. Acting on a tip, Deputies found lots of drugs at the home including:
- 93.3 g of powered cocaine
- 22.6 g of crack cocaine
- 28.8 g of marijuana
The drugs are valued at $3,000. During the raid, Deputies arrested Demetria Hobbs, 34, with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana.
