Deputies with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Bureau have charged four people in connection with a prostitution business operated from an East Memphis neighborhood.

Sheriff’s Street Crimes Deputies saw an ad for an escort service in the East Memphis area on “craigslist,” a popular internet site for business ads. About 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon, Deputies called the phone number on the advertisement and arranged to meet two women at a motel in East Shelby County.

Investigators say the women agreed to perform various sex acts for $250 an hour. When the women arrived at the motel they were arrested along with Cynthia Ehrlich, 44, who drove them there.

After talking with the women, officers discovered the escort business was operated from a house in the 6900 block of Tulip Trail. Deputies raided the house last evening. One of the rooms had a massage table, condoms and a computer which listed customer appointments. Bags of cocaine and measuring scales were also found at the house. Leroy Williams, 47, who lives at the house with Ehrlich, was arrested.

Williams has been charged with:

• promoting prostitution
• possession of a controlled substance
• tampering with evidence
• possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cynthia Ehrlich has been charged with:

• Prostitution
• promoting prostitution

Deputies continue to question the other two women who will also face prostitution charges.
