Sheriff's Deputy in Vehicle Crash

George Judson Maxwell, 26, has been with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office since May, 1997, for the position of Cadet and in October, 2001 he was promoted to the position of Deputy Sheriff. He is currently assigned to the Fugitive Division.

Deputy Maxwell was southbound on Sycamore View; he left the roadway and struck a pole and the vehicle flipped over several times. He sustained minor injuries and was transported to the Med. He is in stable condition.

The crash is still under investigation.
