“Dre” Davis, Two State Murder Suspect, captured by U. S. Marshals in Chicago

Andre “Dre” Davis was captured Wednesday evening in Chicago by U.S. Marshals and the Great Lakes Regional Task Force. “Dre” Davis was wanted for two murders in the Mid-South, one in Southaven, MS., and the other in Memphis, TN. “Dre” Davis” had been a fugitive since September 26, 2005 when he allegedly shot and murdered Angela Boyle in a Southaven apartment complex. At the time of that shooting, “Dre” had been out on bond in Memphis for the murder of Charlie Gibson.

The Mid-South Fugitive Task Force, Southaven Police Department, and the Shelby County Fugitive Squad had been jointly working the fugitive case when leads were developed in the Chicago area. On Wednesday evening, “Dre” was captured without incident in a southside Chicago apartment complex by members of the U. S. Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Task Force and the Chicago Police Department.

Andre “Dre” Davis is going to court today in Cook County, Illinois to face an extradition hearing.
