Deputies Arrest Wanted Felon-Find Drugs at East Memphis House

Justin DavisShelby County Sheriff’s Deputies today arrested a man wanted on drug charges. In so doing, deputies discovered drugs inside an east Memphis home and took the person who lives there into custody.

Deputies received a tip today that Justin Davis, 26, of Memphis, was at a home in the 5100 block of Rich Road in East Memphis.

Davis was being sought on a charge for possessing illegal drugs with intent to sell. Deputies had raided his home in the 2000 block of Elzey Avenue on April 11th of this year and found marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine and prescription drugs.

Just after eleven o’clock this morning, deputies from the Narcotics and Fugitive Divisions went to the home on Rich Road. They arrested Davis and got a search warrant for the home.

When officers went inside, they found cocaine, crystal methamphetamine and prescription drugs.

Deputies took the man who lives at the home into custody and charges are pending. Two other women were also detained and are being questioned.

Besides the previous drug charge, Justin Davis will be charged with possession of methamphetamine. When searched, officers found crystal meth in his pockets.
