Shelby County Sheriff's detectives say a Mississippi man died today after he fell off a stepladder at Rosemark Academy.

Just after Noon, Henry Scott, 47, of Byhalia, was working on a new addition of the school at 8696 Rosemark Road in North Shelby County.

Sheriff’s Investigators say Scott was about nine (9) feet off the ground when he fell forward and hit his head.

Fellow construction workers were unable to revive Scott. He was pronounced dead a short time later at Methodist Hospital North.

Sheriff’s detectives believed Scott’s death was an accident.

Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) investigators are also looking into the circumstances of Scott’s death.
