NEWS ALERT:  Sexual Offenders in Shelby County will be able to register at Fugitive Safe Surrender.  All Sexual Offenders in Shelby County that need to register are invited to register at Fugitive Safe Surrender.  Those needing to register will need to bring photo identification.

Fugitives invited to surrender – in church

MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE – Wednesday, September 19, 2007, 9:00 A.M. marks the beginning of Fugitive Safe Surrender.  Fugitive Safe Surrender will be held at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church located at 2231 South Parkway East, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., from Wednesday, September 19, 2007 and will last until Saturday, September 22, 2007.  Fugitives in Shelby County will have this brief, one-time opportunity to take their first step toward a second chance. 

Fugitives who do not wish to surrender at the church may surrender and receive equal consideration from authorities at the Shelby County Sheriff’s Fugitive Division in the annex of the Criminal Justice Center at 201 Poplar Memphis, TN. When the surrender period ends, intensive fugitive sweeps will begin… with no favorable consideration from authorities for those who are captured by law enforcement.  Those wanting further information may call Shelby County Fugitive (901) 545-5630 or U.S. Marshals Warrants Division (901) 544-3304 for more information.
