Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies say two sisters, one 15, and the other 14, attacked two other girls this afternoon in a South-East Shelby County neighborhood.
Just before 3 o’clock, Deputies were called to the 7600 block of Calloway Hills Cove where they found four girls fighting. Before officers could break up the fight, the girls ran across the street and continued fighting in the 4600 Block of Calloway Hills Drive.
One of the girls was beaten in the head and had to be taken to Methodist Le Bonheur Hospital in Germantown. She was attacked with a lock commonly used for school lockers. The other girl’s injuries did not require hospitalization.
Deputies say the victims and their attackers had argued earlier this week at Southwind High School. The argument began again this afternoon as the four were walking home from school.
Deputies charged both sisters. The 15 year-old was charged with Aggravated Assault for using the lock during the attack. The 14 year-old was charged with Simple Assault.
