Mayor A C Wharton, Jr. is hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Reception, Thursday, October 2, 2008 @ The Cannon Center from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.  All volunteers and organizations that assisted with the Hurricane Gustav evacuees are invited.  Mayor Wharton will award certificates of appreciation during this event.  The event includes Hors d Oeuvre – Music – Recognition – Celebration.
