Detectives with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office are looking for two men who robbed a Cordova motel early this morning. Both robbers wore masks, one of them a Halloween mask.

It happened at the Traveler’s Inn at 1776 Whitten Road in East Shelby County. Investigators say about three o’clock a female clerk stepped outside the office to smoke a cigarette.

Both men had pistols. They forced the clerk back into the office and made her lie down on the floor. The robbers then took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register.

Detectives say the men got away in a red Dodge Neon. No one was hurt.
