Sheriff’s Office Inclement Weather Plan Activated

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division has activated its inclement weather plan due to snow and ice on Shelby County roads.

Citizens involved in MINOR traffic crashes are encouraged to exchange information with other drivers including names, addresses, phone numbers, licenses plate tag numbers and specifics about vehicle insurance.

Drivers should then report the MINOR crash information to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division on Monday, February 13, 2006. The Traffic Office number is (901) 867-1420.

However, those in vehicle crashes involving injuries, heavy vehicle damage, impaired driving, or if the crash is causing a traffic hazard should call 9-1-1 or the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center at (901) 379-7625 so a Deputy may take a report.
