Release Date: November 6, 2003

Timothy JohnsonA Deputy Jailer who works at the men's facility at 201 Poplar was arrested today for bringing marijuana, cigarettes and other items into the jail. Deputy Jailer Timothy Johnson, 34, had just started his shift about six o'clock this morning when a fellow officer found marijuana, cigarettes, lighters and rolling papers in a garbage can in an area Johnson was assigned to guard.

When investigators confronted him, Johnson admitted to bringing the marijuana and other items into the jail this morning under his shirt.
