Deputies Continue Search For Missing Mississippi Truck Driver

James H. Tate, Jr.Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies continue to look for truck driver who disappeared from the Shelby County area more than two years ago.

Detectives still have few clues about what happened to James H. Tate, Jr., who was reported missing December 17, 2004.  The trailer Tate was hauling for M and K Logistics was found by Bartlett Police along Brunswick Road near Highway 64. Then a day later, the truck cab was found on a vacant lot along Berryhill near Raspberry near Macon Road. 

Gwen Posey, Tate’s sister, along with other family members from James Tate’s hometown of Tylertown, Mississippi, say they have not given up hope of finding him.  During the past two years, family members have visited the Shelby County area to talk with deputies and pass out flyers about Tate.

James Tate is a black man, stands 5’11 and weighs approximately 189 pounds.  He is 37 years old.  At the time of his disappearance, deputies did not have a clothing description.
