“This is a wonderful example of how the Sheriff’s Office partners with organizations in our community. Members of our staff enjoy working with the students and teachers at Klondike Elementary. This is our way of making a real difference in the lives of the children,” said Sheriff Luttrell.

The tournament was held a few weeks ago on November 5, at Big Creek Golf Course in North Shelby County. The $5,000 from entry fees will be used to help offset expenses for student field trips, school supplies and tutoring programs at the school.

Klondike Elementary at 1250 Vollintine is the “Adopt-A-School” for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office. For the past several years a charity golf tournament has been held to benefit the students.

Sheriff Luttrell and various staff members of the Sheriff’s Office will make the presentation tomorrow afternoon. The program starts at 1:00 p.m. in the school’s auditorium.
