Shelby County Sheriff Mark Luttrell, Jr. and members of his command staff will present $6,000 to the students and faculty of Klondike Elementary School in North Memphis this week.

The presentation will be made this Wednesday morning (November 28). The money was raised from a charity golf tournament sponsored by the Sheriff’s Office on October 26 at Quail Ridge Golf Course in Bartlett.

“This is a wonderful example of how the Sheriff’s Office partners with organizations in our community. Members of our staff enjoy working with the students and teachers at Klondike Elementary. This is our way of making a real difference in the lives of the children,” said Sheriff Luttrell.

The $6,000 will be used to help offset expenses for student field trips, classroom supplies and tutoring programs.

Klondike Elementary, at 1250 Vollintine, is the “Adopt-A-School” for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office
