Deputies Searching For Robbers of Lakeland Restaurant

Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies are searching for five men involved in the robbery of the Waffle House restaurant in Lakeland earlier this week.
Just after 2 o’clock Monday morning (July 3), four men entered the restaurant at 3640 Canada Road and ordered a meal. As the four were about to leave, another man, in his early twenties and armed with a pistol, entered the restaurant wearing a bandana over his face. He jumped over the counter and forced a waitress to open the cash drawer.
The waitress handed over an undetermined amount of money. The robber then ran out of the restaurant with the other four men. The robbers were all black and in their in 20s.
No one was hurt during the robbery. A witness told Deputies the five suspects drove away in a white four-door sedan. The model was not known.
