Deputies Search For Robber of Lakeland Waffle House

Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies are looking for a man who robbed the Waffle House on Canada Road near Interstate 40 early this morning.

Employees say a man walked into the restaurant at 3640 Canada Road about 3:30. He went to the check out area armed with a gun.

The robber told the cashier to give him money from the cash register. After taking the money, he ran south on Canada Road.

The man was black, stood about 5’8” and weighed about 145 pounds. He was wearing an orange tee shirt and gray sweatpants.

No one was hurt during the hold-up.

Deputies are reviewing store security cameras.
