UPDATE - Shelby County Deputy Sheriffs are looking for four men who invaded a home in the 5600 block of Dedo Circle about 8 o’clock this morning.

In the home were five females, three adults, two of which were 18 years of age, the other 23, and two juveniles, ages 6 and 17.  The females were forced into a back bedroom closet and tied up.

Mr. Dennis Dunning, 44, resident of the home, came home shortly after 8am and upon entering the home was assaulted.  He was shot multiple times and collapsed on his next door neighbor’s driveway.

Witnesses say that four black males (one carrying a black/white bag) wearing dark clothing were seen running down the street from the residence and either a newer model red Dodge Neon or Chrysler Stratus was seen leaving the area.

The females in the home were not injured.  The male victim, Mr. Dennis Dunning, was transported to the MED, operated on, and is in critical condition.

Anyone with information about the home invasion is asked to call the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office General Investigative Bureau at (901) 545-5600 or Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH (2774).
