Shelby County Sheriff's deputies from the Metro Gang Unit, S.W.A.T., Metro D.U.I., Reserve Deputies/Emergency Services will work jointly with the Memphis Police Department and Shelby County Attorney General's Office in a crime suppression effort concentrating in North Memphis neighborhoods.

The Shelby County Sheriff's Office will combine forces with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Governor Phil Bredesen's Highway Safety Program, Collierville Police Department and Memphis Police Department in an effort to curb speeding on Bill Morris Parkway.

Fatal Vehicle Crash on Pisgah Road

A weekend vehicle crash claimed the life of a Shelby County man. Michael A. Kennedy, 39, was killed last Friday evening, February 7, 2004, when the pick-up truck he was driving stuck a tree on Pisgah Road in East Shelby County.
