Optimist Club Honors Deputy as Officer of the Year

The Memphis & Shelby County Optimist “Respect for the Law Committee” made up of representatives of the 12 Optimist Clubs in Memphis and Shelby County, will be naming Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Detective Steven (Steve) Montgomery as “Officer of the Year” on Friday, May 14, 2004, at 8:30 a.m., at the Criminal Justice Center, in the Sheriff’s conference Room, 9 th Floor, at 201 Poplar Avenue.

Man Arrested - Stolen DVDs Recovered

Shelby County Sheriff Mark H. Luttrell, Jr. announced today that detectives with the Sheriff’s Office, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Memphis Police, Bartlett Police and Germantown Police have arrested a man for operating a theft ring that targeted DVDs, compact discs, video tapes and electronic games.

Deputies Face Suspensions
