to Making False Statements in Connection with
Surveillance at Nashville FOP Summer Camp

Nashville, TN - September 21, 2007- Joe T. Everson, of Memphis, Tennessee, pled guilty today to making false statements in connection with a federal investigation surrounding the July 2007 discovery of surveillance equipment at the Nashville Fraternal Order of Police’s Andrew Jackson Police Youth Camp, announced Paul M. O’Brien, United States Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee, My Harrison, Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the Memphis Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Mark Gwyn, Director of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), and Douglas J. Colon, SAC of the United States Department of Labor (USDOL) Office of Inspector General-Regional Office of Labor Racketeering and Fraud Investigations.

Fugitive Safe Surrender, a new program led by the U.S. Marshals Service will allow people on the run from the law to come to a safe haven - New Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Memphis, Tenn., to surrender to authorities, consult with an attorney and meet with a judge... all inside the church.
