Man Arrested For Murdering Millington Man
Release Date: May 31, 2006
Shelby County Sheriff’s Detectives have charged a Millington man in connection with the murder of another man from that community who was found dead this past weekend near Frayser.
Detectives say Josue Segura, 41, has been charged with First Degree murder for killing Daniel Darby, 48.
Darby’s body was found this past Saturday afternoon about 4 o’clock along a dirt road beside the Loosahatchie River near the dead end of Benjestown Road.
An all-terrain-vehicle rider found the body.
Investigators say Darby had gone to the area near the river with a group of friends this past Friday.
Segura said he and Darby had been driving along the river when their car got stuck in the mud.
While the men attempted to get the car out of the mud, the two got into an argument and detectives say Segura hit Darby in the head with a vehicle jack.
