Deputies Continue Search For Missing Mississippi Truck Driver - Updated Photo Released By His Family

James H. Tate, Jr.The family of missing Mississippi Truck Driver James H. Tate, Jr. has provided a more recent picture of their relative who has been missing for more than a year now.

Gwen Posey, Tate’s sister, along with other family members from Tylertown, Mississippi, say they have not given up hope of finding Mr. Tate. Several months ago they came to the Memphis area and handed out flyers hoping someone who knows about Tate’s disappearance might call law enforcement agencies.

Shelby County Sheriff’s Detectives say they still have few clues about what happened to Tate, who has been missing for more than a year. He is employed by M and K Logistics.

On December 17, 2004, the trailer he was hauling was found by Bartlett Police along Brunswick Road near Highway 64. Then a day later, the truck cab was found on a vacant lot along Berryhill near Raspberry not far from Macon Road.

Relatives say they have continued phoning Tate on his cell phone but no calls have been returned. James Tate is a black man, stands 5’11 and weighs approximately 189 pounds. He is 36 years old. At the time of his disappearance, Deputies did not have a clothing description.
