Shelby County Sheriff's Office Traffic Crash Investigators say a Cordova man was the person killed last night in a motorcycle crash on Highway 385 in Arlington.
Deputies say just before 7:30, Joseph Mc Clancy, 63, was driving his motorcycle south on Highway 385 when he hit the rear of a Saturn, also traveling south. The impact caused Mc Clancy’s motorcycle to veer off the road and go down an embankment. He died at the crash scene.
The Saturn was driven by Latashia Fields, 33, of Memphis. Fields, her eleven year-old daughter and another man in the car were not hurt. All three were wearing seat belts.
Investigators say speed was a factor in the crash. This was the second deadly motorcycle crash investigated by Deputies this past weekend.
Last Friday night, Dale Crawford, II, 24, of Memphis, died when his motorcycle crashed into a van parked on Calloway Hills Drive in southeast Shelby County.
Sheriff's Office Traffic Crash Investigators say speed was also a factor in that motorcycle crash.
