Northaven Murder Victim and Alleged Shooter Identified

Shelby County Sheriff's Detectives say Demetrius Green, 24, who lived in the Northaven community, was the man who was murdered in that neighborhood yesterday afternoon.

Deputies were called to 5256 Braden near Brandywine just before 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. They found Green lying in the street in front of the house.

Witnesses told investigators Green was killed after he and another man had a confrontation in the street.

Late last night Sheriff's Detectives issued an arrest warrant for Damien Clark, also 24, who lived at the house where the shooting took place. Investigators are still trying to determine the motive for the murder.

Damien Clark turned himself in to Shelby County Sheriff's Deputies Thursday evening, January 20. Case and charges are pending.
