Billy Biggs, Jr. |
Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies are looking for a man who may be connected to last night’s shooting at a Northaven park. Deputies are looking for Billy Biggs, Jr., 21, of Frayser.
Detectives say Biggs is a person of interest in the case and frequents the Northaven area. Biggs knows the shooting victim, Randon Fryerson, 19, who lives in the neighborhood.
Sheriff’s Detectives say just after 8 o’clock last night, Fryerson was shot twice after he and another man argued at Goodman Park on Breckenwood near Northaven Drive.
Deputies say the assailant chased Fryerson around the park and shot at him several times. The bullets narrowly missed a group of young men playing basketball nearby. No one on the basketball court was hurt.
The shooter sped away in a dark colored Chrysler New Yorker with Tennessee license tag: 883-LTH. After the shooting, some of Fryerson’s friends took him to a Shelby County Fire Station just around the corner. Luckily, firefighters and emergency medical personnel were there. After initial treatment by the fire station personnel, Fryerson was taken to the Regional Medical Center. He remains in stable condition today.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Billy Biggs, Jr., is asked to call Sergeant Ray Sides of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office General Investigation Bureau at (901) 545-5600 or Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH (2274).
