Billy Biggs, Jr.

A man suspected of shooting a teenager in Northaven this past Tuesday night surrendered to Sheriff’s detectives today.  Billy Biggs, Jr., 21, of Frayser, has been charged with attempted 2nd degree murder.

On May 13th, just after 8 p.m., Randon Fryerson, 19, was shot after he and Biggs got into a fight in Goodman Park on Breckenwood near Northaven Drive.

Witnesses say Biggs chased Fryerson around the park and shot at him several times.  Bullets narrowly missed a group of young men playing basketball nearby.

After the shooting, some of Fryerson’s friends took him to a Shelby County Fire Station just around the corner. Luckily, firefighters and emergency medical personnel were there.  Fryerson was taken to the Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released.
