Deputies Issue 28 Citations and Arrest Three During North Shelby County Traffic Enforcement Effort

Deputies with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office conducted a “zero tolerance” traffic/crime suppression effort in the Northaven and Woodstock areas of North Shelby County this past Friday evening.

Deputies targeted impaired driving, speeding, aggressive driving and seatbelt violations. Additionally, officers were on high alert for other reports of crime.

Here are the results of the enforcement effort:

28 TOTAL TRAFFIC CITATIONS

  • 18 Regular Traffic Citations Issued-9 involving drivers not wearing seatbelts
  • 10 Courtesy Citations Issued

Three (3) TOTAL MISDEMEANOR ARRESTS

  • 3 Misdemeanor Citations for Driving While License Suspected/Revoked

 

The traffic enforcement saturation was funded by a grant from the Governor’s Highway Safety Office.
