Traffic Fatality In North Shelby County

A Millington teenager was killed late last night in a traffic crash near Shelby Forest.

Sheriff's Office Traffic Investigators say Garon Shaver, 19, was killed just before midnight.

Deputies say Shaver, who was alone in his vehicle, was traveling north on North Watkins when his car veered off the road and hit a driveway culvert at a house near Locke Road.

Shaver's 2001 Pontiac Grand Am flipped which killed Shaver, who was wearing his seatbelt.

Deputies say alcohol was NOT a factor in the crash.
