Possible Vehicle Identified In Robbery And Shooting Of Off-Duty Sheriff’s Deputy

deputy shooting possible car involved Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with the Germantown Police Department, continue their search for two men who robbed and shot an off-duty Sheriff’s Deputy last weekend.

About two o’clock this past Sunday morning, Deputy Rodney Diggons visited the “All-In-One” convenience mart on Poplar near Kirby.

Just after Deputy Diggons returned to his home, which was just across the street, two men robbed him in the parking lot. During the scuffle, a gun carried by one of the suspects discharged, leaving Deputy Diggons with a gun shot wound to the leg. He was not critically injured.

Detectives were able to get a copy of the store security camera. Investigators say the attackers might have been driving a white, four-door, mid-90’s Cadillac, with custom chrome wheels. Click on the picture above or this link to get a FULL SCREEN VIEW.

Investigators say both suspects had dark complexions and appeared to be in their early 20’s. One man was wearing a red sweatshirt and the other had on a black sweatshirt.
